Herba-Sabina (Catalan for Juniper Herb) was written while I was hiking through the Spanish Pyrenees in 2016 and is the only time I have written a piece without having a guitar with me.
Named after a derelict village I camped out in where General Franco had massacred a family I left with a sadness that turned into this song. I spent the following day alone sitting close to the edge of a very high cliff allowing myself to experience my fear of heights, looking down on the vultures as they flew below me and wrote out the piece as I heard it in my mind.
