Holy Island was written in 2008 and was inspired by images of Lindisfarne or Holy Island on the North East coast of England. It begins with a slow introduction and then has 3 sections that go through different moods from major to minor and culminating in a faster triplet melody that I imagined being played by a bagpipe.
