Fourth World Promotions present the best comedy, cabaret, spoken word and live music that Brighton Fringe 2019 has to offer! Join award winning host Paul Diello in an evening of fabulous entertainment and get your whistles whet in time for Fringe!
Featuring performances from-
Cally Beaton- Invisible
A laugh-laden, unflinching look at the business of being an adult. Cally (as seen on QI) nearly died in Iceland (country, not shop) and here, she relives that journey into snow-capped desolation. Does she have the stomach for radical reinvention? She won’t go gentle into that good night. She might go mental – but never gentle.
Hannah Brackenbury- All Things Brighton Beautiful
Award winning musical comedy performer Hannah Brackenbury reflects on her 10 years as a Brightonian in this heartfelt and hilarious musical tribute to her adopted city. Featuring original songs, poems and parodies.
‘A Steady Rain’ by Keith Huff
Far-Kit Promotions and director Sean Lippett-Fall bring you award-winning actors Culann Smyth and Ben Pritchard in this multi award-winning production of Huff’s gritty, witty, and yet poignant piece; exploring complex relationships formed on the tough streets of Chicago. With biting dialogue and a rainbow of emotions, we journey with the two friends and a host of other characters on a fateful journey of love and life, ultimately asking the question; what is the meaning of true friendship?
Cards Against Humanity- The Shame Show-
The Shame Show invites you to get involved in a dark game show based on the world famous politically incorrect party game Cards Against Humanity. Leave your sensitivities at the door. Not for the light hearted, faint hearted or big hearted. There will be prizes, very bad prizes.
Annabelszki- Smashing
Can one woman single-handedly smash the hetero-patriarchy? Well, maybe with a little help from the audience. Confront your unconscious bias as we embark upon a queer, feminist and irreverent exploration of contemporary society. Expect stand-up, sketch comedy, spoken word, subverted song lyrics and audience interaction.
Epicene-
Award-winning musician Paul Diello invites you to his gender-blending celebration of iconic women in music. Join the Brighton-based avant-garde performer and his band on a colourful camp cabaret extravaganza as they reimagine classic female songs originally performed by legendary singers such as Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell and PJ Harvey to name but a few. Dance, sing, laugh and cry as Paul interweaves his journey of childhood out-castings and social misfittery into well-loved compositions. Every sense will be tantalised in this outrageous, rainbow-coloured romp. All new version for 2019!
Katrina Quinn- Individual Medley
Katrina returns to Brighton Fringe with her mesmerising coming-of-age memoir. Spoken word meets swimming lessons and some early ’00s R&B in a tale about learning to fit into your skin.
Geoff Robb- The Music Of Trees
Geoff Robb was the winner of the 2018 Brighton Fringe Live Music Award for his solo show. His beautiful meditative compositions blend his classical training and background in healing with his love of Spanish and Celtic music.
If you enjoy beautiful acoustic guitar music then don’t miss this award-winning show.
